Passenger Information

After Security:

History

  • Originally opened as RAF Hurn on the 1st of August 1941, it supported many RAF units towards the end of World War Two. It was eventually passed to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and it was the main hub for international flights into the UK until 1948 when London Heathrow had been completed, and airlines chose to fly there instead. It has changed ownership multiple times over the decades, and today it supports over 600,000 passengers every year.
